Additional moves could follow in the coming days.
The Ravens — for the time being — have set their 53-man roster.
Of course, more can be done in the next few days as players hit the waiver wire and then head to free agency.
Here’s the final list of cuts and roster moves:
Waived: OT Parker Graham, CB Tramain Jacobs, OL Ryan Jensen, DT Jamie Meder, DT AJ Pataiali’i, CB Sammy Seamster, OL A.Q. Shipley, OLB John Simon, TE Phillip Supernaw, RB Fitzgerald Toussaint, QB Keith Wenning
Released: CB Derek Cox, CB Dominique Franks
Injured reserve: WR Jeremy Butler (shoulder)
PUP: DT Terrence Cody (hip)
Reserve/suspended by commissioner: RB Ray Rice, S Will Hill
The biggest surprise of the day was Simon getting waived. However, it’s a numbers game in the NFL. Sometimes, this stuff happens. Butler going on injured reserve seems a bit convenient but beneficial for the organization. As for Cox and Franks getting cut, don’t write off either yet. Since both immediately hit the free agent market, this could be a short-term solution as some other areas on the roster work themselves out.
